Blackberry storm 2

The Storm 2 will have wi-fi and improved touch technology and provide a full virtual keyboard when it's viewed in vertical mode. It will be supplied with 18GB of memory. It also has a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The big question here, of course, is what type of customer RIM is targeting. While companies such as RIM, Nokia and others are all producing smartphones that incorporate features found on the iPhone, many might feel that copycat technology doesn't quite match up to Apple's.

People used to the more traditional BlackBerry aren't likely to shift from technology they're familiar with to a different interface altogether, so it will be interesting to see if these attempts to compete with the Apple iPhone will be worth the effort.

Apple is now taking advantage of its successful iPhone by striking deals with more and more carriers worldwide. That puts even more pressure on RIM to come out with deals and models that outshine its competitors.
